Q. Can I have a refund if I can’t run?

A. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds. This is due to the costs associated in the preparation and planning of the event.

Q. Can I defer my entry to next year’s race?

A. Yes – you can defer your entry if you are injured, have a medical condition or are pregnant or post partum, which is preventing you from taking part. The deadline to defer your entry is 9th August 2023. To request to defer your entry please complete this form.

Q. Am I able to transfer my place to someone else?

A. Yes – Your entry into the Event is transferable up until the transfer deadline, which is 30th June 2023 for a person to person transfer, the deadline for an event to event transfer is 30th June 2023. Any transfer to another participant will be subject to a fee of at least £10 (plus admin charges). You are responsible for the transfer. Transfers are conducted via the Realbuzz Members Hub. You will not receive a refund.

In the event You are found to have transferred your race entry to another person, without following the Event procedure your race number will be disqualified from the Event.

Q. Am I able to transfer my place to another Front Runner Event?

A. Yes – You are able to transfer your entry into another Front Runner Event, you will not be subject to a fee and you will not receive a refund of any difference of entry cost. All transfers can be done via your Realbuzz Members Hub. All transfers must be made no later than 30th June 2023.

In the event you are found to have transferred your race entry to another person, without following the event procedure, your number will be disqualified from the race and jeopardise entry at future races.

Q. What are the start time and location of the race?

A. 09:00* – Elite Athlete and Mass Race Start
The 2023 race will start and finish at Glyncorrwg Ponds (SA13 3EA).
*Start times are subject to change based on the conditions on the day of the event.

Q. Is there a baggage area?

A. Yes – there will be a bag drop.

Q. Will water be available on the course?

A. Brecon Carreg are our hydration partner and will be providing water along the route.

Q. What’s in my race pack?

A. Race packs will need to be collected by participants on race day between 07.00-08.30am. You will need to bring photographic ID with you to collect your race pack and you must collect your own race pack. Your race pack contains your race number with integrated timing chip and your race day information along with safety pins.

Q. Can I register on the day?

A. No – there will be no entry or registration on the day for the half marathon.

Q. Is there a cut off time for runners?

A. You must complete your race within 4 hours, should you not be maintaining the pace to achieve this cut-off when you reach the halfway point, you’ll be asked to board the sweep vehicle which will return you to the finish area.

Q. Are there toilets on the course?

A. Yes – there will be toilets located throughout the course.

Q. Should I suffer an injury on race day what support is available?

A. Professional medical staff will be available at the Start/Finish line and along the course should you face difficulties.

Q. Can I raise money for my chosen charity?

A. Yes – we have a number of charities we work with, but if you want you can raise funds for your chosen charity. You’ll need to contact them directly for a fundraising pack.

Q. Will there be a photographer on the day?

A. Yes – you will be able to purchase your official race photos.

Q. Can I run in fancy dress?

A. Running in fancy dress is welcomed, however, if your outfit is likely to impede other runners please contact info@frontrunnerevents.co.uk

Q. Can I run with headphones?

A. No – you should not run with headphones during the event.
